Andrew Armstrong

Our first tribute is to Andrew Armstrong, the man our historic hotel is named after. Mr. Armstrong was an early Fort Collins pioneer. In the 1900s he graciously opened his home to travelers who came through Fort Collins on their way to the Rockies. Andrew was a builder and had a hand in constructing and developing residential and commercial buildings that still stand today. After his death in 1904, Andrew’s daughter and son-in-law honored his legacy and opened The Armstrong Hotel in 1923.
