Picnicking

There are several picnic areas around Horsetooth. You can choose Day Use areas that provide great views over the lake or spend the afternoon on the beach. Check out the map for picnic locations.

Boating & Jet Skis

There are 6-½ miles of water on this beautiful reservoir. Grab your boat or jet skis, family and friends, and spend the day water skiing, tubing or just cruising around and enjoying the sunshine. Before you go, check out the boating hours and regulations.

Fishing

Horsetooth is a popular place for fishing. It’s stocked with trout, bass, walleye and more. There are many coves and spots along the shore to fish or bring your boat to access the favorite spots.

Other Activities

Horsetooth offers other summer fun including hiking, swimming, scuba diving, and even rock climbing. It’s a very popular place in the summer but there’s plenty of space for everyone no matter how you choose to enjoy it.
