Summer is here in beautiful Fort Collins! From countless outdoor activities to shopping to craft beer sampling, we’re excited to share with you some of our favorite things to do around here in the summer season.
What better way to take advantage of the warm & sunny summer days than with a trip to our local reservoir, Horsetooth! Here you can swim at two public beaches, or get out on the water by renting a paddleboard, kayak or boat. Pack or pick up a picnic lunch and be sure to slather on the sunscreen for a day of fun in the sun!
Throw it back to the old days with a visit to the Holiday Twin Drive In! Enjoy a flick (did someone say Jaws, Animal House & Grease?) in a socially-distant manner, and still enjoy snacks from the concession (ordered online of course) and fresh summer evening air.
With so many amazing places to dine & drink in Fort Collins, it can be hard to choose where to go! The Armstrong is home to both Ace Café and Ace Gillett’s Lounge, so whether you’re looking for a memorable patio brunch or a speakeasy vibe, you can access both just steps from your room.

The Poudre River is a landmark in Fort Collins, and for good reason! This beautiful, meandering river is not only responsible for helping Northern Colorado’s agriculture, but it’s also a destination for whitewater rafting, fishing, kaying & paddling. We even have a whitewater park where you can try your hand at tubing, kayaking, rafting and more. Several local shops provide rentals.
